Class 11's Homework

Theme for Final Project: 

For my final project I would like to do a piece that encourages women empowerment amongst my friends and for girls all around the world. Last month I went to a pop-art gallery for Sarah Bahbah and I couldn't help but find her work intriguing and individually interesting. I really like how she balances a beautiful picture of a girl being so natural and eye catching, with a punch throat quote below it. I feel like her work has a very modern feel, almost like a post to Snapchat. For my project I will be photographing 12 of my friends along with an empowering quote that goes with this picture. With these photos, I will edit them to look like polaroids and paste them onto a mirror. The mirror is a metaphor for women to feel strong and beautiful when they look at themselves. I want these polaroids with their captions be a reminder to all the girls that they are mesmerizing, sexy and one of a kind. We all need a boost of confidence and self-love therefore I really hope my project projects that feeling.
