Bracketing means to take multiple photographs of the same exact scene but adjusting the exposure slightly for each. For example, changing the setting to make them brighter or darker so that there is a various exposure between the photos. For me, I used an iPhone for this assignment so I changed the shutter speed in the manual app.
Part 2- Inspiration Images
This photo was taken by Petra Collins of Selena Gomez on the set of her music video for "Fetish". It was taken and filmed in September of 2017. I first saw these visuals in her music video but found this particular picture on Tumblr. I choose this picture because I enjoy Petra's dreamy and old fashioned feel to her photography.
This photo was taken of Beyonce on the set for her music video for Formation. I particularly like this picture because for one, I love Beyonce, and two, because it comes from such a strong music video that had multiple meanings behind it. Such as, taking a stand against police brutality, even though the government ignored Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans… she did not, poitning out multiple aspects of black culture and history, black children matter, and most importantly telling girls to “get in formation” and run the world with her.
